Privacy Policy
This site is controlled and operated by NEC Managed Events on
behalf of the FMO and we are committed to protecting your
privacy.
We collect and request information about visitors to our website
in several different ways.
We do not sell, share or rent this information to anyone outside
the FMO without your express permission.
What Information Do We Collect?
We may collect two different types of information about you:
personally identifiable and non-personally identifiable.
We will only collect personally identifiable information if you
opt-in and take certain actions on our sites:
- If you choose to fill out an online contact form, we record
your name, company, email address, phone and fax number and event
details or enquiry details.
- If you choose to subscribe to one of our email newsletters, we
record your name, email address, mobile number, postcode, year of
birth and gender.
- If you enter any of our competitions, we record your answer and
your contact information.
We request this information so that we can answer your pre-sales
questions, inform you of important company or product news and
fulfil your orders. We store this personally-identifiable
information on our own secure servers, and we retain it for our
permanent company records.
The non-personally-identifiable information we collect is
typical of many web logs: browser and processor type, IP address,
and the website visited before arriving at one of our sites. We may
also track the pages visited within our sites. We use this
information in aggregate to understand our visitors better, and to
learn which sections of our sites are most and least popular.
From time to time, we may contact you by post or by email, with
information or offers regarding upcoming events, products or
services. If you do not wish to be contacted by us about upcoming
events, products or services, please contact sales@optrafair.co.uk
ensuring you address your email with "Unsubscribe" in the subject
line. It is essential that your registered email address be
provided in order for us to action such a request.
How Do We Protect Your Information?
We record the personally-identifiable and
non-personally-identifiable information described above on our own
servers and databases. We do not sell, share or rent this
information to anyone outside the FMO, and access to it is
restricted to employees of FMO and NEC Managed Events who have a
specific, job-related need for it. In addition, our servers
are protected to attempt to prevent unauthorised access by
outsiders.
Do We Use Cookies?
"Cookies" are small pieces of information stored by the web
browser on your computer's hard drive; they are used to assist in
tailoring your return visits to our sites, or to assist in
monitoring site usage. NEC uses cookies to evaluate and improve the
effectiveness of certain pages on our site. Information on deleting
or controlling cookies is available at www.aboutcookies.org. Please note that by
deleting our cookies or disabling future cookies you may not be
able to access certain areas or features of our sites.
Links
Our sites contain links to other websites that we believe are
relevant to our visitors' needs. Please be aware that FMO is not
responsible for the site content, privacy policies or services of
those other websites.
Your Consent
By submitting your information you consent to the use of that
information as set out in this policy.
We will occasionally update this privacy policy to reflect
changes in our services and customer feedback. When we post changes
to this policy, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top
of this policy. If there are material changes to this statement or
in how we will use your information, we will notify you either by
prominently posting a notice of such changes prior to implementing
the change or by directly sending you a notification. We encourage
you to periodically review this statement to be informed of how we
are protecting your personal data.
Your Rights
In addition to our safeguards your personal data is protected in
the UK by the Data Protection Act 1998. We operate and are
registered in accordance with the applicable data protection
legislation.
