Q

How will coronavirus affect Optrafair 20/20?

Having monitored the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation carefully and listened to event stakeholders’ views and concerns over the last couple of weeks, the FMO Board and MA Exhibitions have unanimously decided to postpone Optrafair 20/20. The decision has been made in consultation with the NEC and with advice from the UK government and public health authorities.

The health, safety, and well-being of Optrafair 20/20 exhibitors, visitors and staff has always been our number one priority. We hope that by making this decision now we can eliminate the uncertainty and reduce the inconvenience felt by registered exhibitors and visitors.

We’re pleased to confirm that Optrafair 20/20 will now take place from 19 to 21 September at the NEC.

All bookings will be transferred as a matter of course. We will be working hard on all aspects of the show to ensure it delivers. We now have the opportunity to realise our promise of the best ever Optrafair in September without the uncertainty which inevitably faces us all at the moment.

Q

I've been receiving emails from external companies. Are they legitimate?

Here at MA Exhibitions (organisers of the Optrafair), we have recently become aware of a series of fraudulent emails to speakers and exhibitors from companies claiming to be officially partnered with the show, offering marketing services, access to the show's data and/or hotel reservation services. We are not in any way affiliated with these companies and advise you to ignore their emails and avoid clicking on any links contained within them. Your security is important to us, so if you're unsure whether or not an email you have received is fraudulent, please get in touch and we'd be happy to verify it for you. We would also like to reassure you that we do not release, sell or share any data related to the Optrafair with any outside parties.
