Exciting new features announced as Optrafair 20/20 registration opens

11/25/2019

Registration is now open for Optrafair 20/20, the most important annual event for the UK optical industry, taking place 4-6 April next year at the NEC in Birmingham.

As in previous years, visitors to Optrafair will be able to experience a top-notch conference programme taking place across a variety of forums, with presentations delivered by some of the most influential thought leaders operating within the sector. View the programme here

At the same time, there will also ample opportunity for high-level networking via the exhibition, which will again see the UK’s biggest companies turning up to do business across the event’s three days. Ninety-three per cent of visitors last year said that the show was crucial to their business, a number we only expect to increase in 2020.

As well as the conference and exhibition meanwhile, next year will also see the launch of a variety of new features designed to make any visit to Optrafair 20/20 even richer. These include the Iris, a stage which will see 2019’s dynamic catwalk being integrated with keynote lectures, as delivered by industry leaders such as #4 ranked ophthalmologist Pearse Keane.

Added to this will be the new-for-2020 Practice Owners’ Lounge, which is a space for practice owners to gather and network over complimentary refreshments. Profs' Corner meanwhile will allow visitors to network with selected speakers, while Frames Boulevard will showcase the latest design trends in a rustic set-up.

The new Ophthalmology Theatre, as sponsored by SpaMedica, will explore diverse topics such as the relationship between optometry and ophthalmology, and how optics professionals can expand their practice.

Speaking of the importance of the Optrafair 20/20, organiser and Portfolio Director Jon Pittock said: “Over the years, Optrafair has well and truly established itself as the biggest and most influential event in the sector, both for delegates and exhibitors.

“It is the place to visit in order to keep on top of the latest best practice, technology and design trends, as well as to network with the most high-level people in the industry. With the addition of a large variety of new features, we believe that this year will be the best ever.”
